Time to plant
It’s that time of year again…Time to plant the garden. This year we have decided to go with a smaller version of gardens of years past. But, we still planted 40 ft. of bush beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, basil, squash and watermelon. The kids helped most with the beans. We strung a rope to guide us and then used a 4 in. block to equally space the seeds.

Then it was off to plant the squash with daddy:

Then, Henry and daddy planted the cucumbers:

Of course, everything then needed to be watered. The kids very much enjoyed playing in the water:

All in all we had a great time planting the garden. I won’t say that convincing Lewis the bean seeds weren’t “jellybeans” wasn’t a challenge, but once we got past that…
Everyone loves BUBBLES
Ever since the weather warmed up, Trey (and therefore the kids) have been obsessed with bubbles. Trey has even gone so far as to make his own soap mixture and dye it blue! We have purchased several bubble implements and the kids really have a great time playing with them. Here are the results.
Trampoline
Our neighbors, the skater boyz, also have a trampoline that the boys have taken quite a shining to this spring. The other night Trey took a slew of awesome pictures of the kids jumping away. I’ll include a few here, but there are a bunch more in our Flickr photostream:
